The World Languages Department Pathway at EHS challenges students to demonstrate a strong interest and commitment to language learning and to the exploration of different cultures. While at EHS, World Languages Pathway students will be required to complete 4 years of the same language and a senior project.
The Senior Project provides students an opportunity to demonstrate mastery of the language, to explore different cultures, and to apply their knowledge in a global society. SC
Finally, EHS World Languages Department Pathway students have distinguished themselves by traveling to and studying in Oaxaca, Mexico, or Peine, Germany, successfully passing the AP National Exams and the California State Seal of Biliteracy certification.
The World Languages Department Pathway requires students to meet A-G requirements.

Senior projects have included or may include: translating documents for the community, organizing the exchange student assembly for the school, tutoring students in the language, establishing a partnership with a school in a country where the language is spoken, producing an educational program to be aired on Access Humboldt, organizing a cultural event in the community or a different school.
